"There's a reason everyone rates this place 5 stars. A delightful trip to Mechanicsville led me to an-almost-secret little spot that yielded the most delicious strawberries. Pick your own at $4 a pound was a delightful way to spend the morning. I was there for jam berries, but managed to pick enough for strawberry shortcake for dinner. Delicious on all accounts. Really enjoyed speaking with the owner, Ms. Macy (?). She was delightful. It's so nice to find a family owned and operated spot that had easy parking and picking access. Wonderful!!"
